Still, many people don’t know much about this band, which over the past 13 years has outgrown its SoCal fan base and moved up to arenas like Madison Square Garden, where the boys play Friday. Yet this Southern California quintet, fronted by 28-year-old Brandon Boyd, is one of the few bands able to straddle the fence with songs that have musical punch for the boys and emotional, romantic lyrics for the ladies.
The band’s very name, Incubus, conjures images of hell-bent-for-metal rockers.
